Description Welcome to New Tokyo Airport, Narita.

Just viewing the trailer for Lost In Translation brought back so many memories of my trip to Tokyo two and three years ago. This movie captures the mixed-up dazed, confused feelings I had while lost in Tokyo, without knowing anyone, or the language. And at the same time, experiencing the exhilaration and thrill of exploring and adventuring through the neverending depths of Tokyo.

For relaxing times, drink Suntory.

Model (from photo): Scarlett Johansson - Pencil on 5" x 7" sketchpad, color correction in Photoshop. I planned out the space on the paper much more this time (drawing grids in complicated areas, and am pretty happy with the results.

I need a new smudge stick.

I just drew the exact same pic. I think this is better... I have quite the rough pencil trace, this is smoother. And it actually looks like Scarlett

i started a vector of this picture at one point, but got stuck on the umbrella and only finished her hair and face.....maybe i'll put it up sometime. i'd like to figure out a simple yet interesting way to do the umbrella though. very cool though. love it.

Well, I have reported them, thank you for alerting me. It saddens me to see things like this happen, hopefully the folks upstairs will take of things.

Thanks,
Charles

Man, this is AMAZING! It's plain awesome, dude. Johansson's stunning, and this is just beautiful. Compliments the mood of the film perfectly.

LIT was great. That film cuts deep (figuratively into your soul, that is).

Great work! If only I could draw lol. Now all you need is a background. As you said...maybe a busy Tokyo street...neon signs...signs in japanese...street vendors. Tons of possibly to show where she is lost.

nice piece! i saw this movie about a week ago, and loved it. good job with the shading and all. it looks like it was done very quickly, though it has that feeling of really being worked.

The description matches the mood, with the umbrella and her expression, it really shows her interaction with the location. The pencils are done very well along with the shades. Although some areas could have used a bit more darks. The eyes and lips are very attractive. Great Job, Keep up the great work.
