Man, it's been a long time since I've posted anything up here (anything coherent, at least haha!). I've come across a little bit of inspiration over this holiday period which has been nice, so I've been able to finally muster up the motivation to just buckle down and finish something. This is something I managed to work on rather quickly within two sittings, and a good way to hone my rusty skills!

This here is "The Shadow Android", also known as "Mirror". This is a character that appears in my Earth-4 timeline which centers on my character, Proj the Echidna. Mirror here is a copy of Proj created by Dr. Robotnik in order to have in his control his own Ultimate Lifeform weapon. Anyways, this idea is probably a bit confusing, it's a bit confusing to me as well since I pretty much just came up with this character on a whim and haven't had the time to process the storyline for the character, so bear with me.

In Earth-4, Mirror is in place of a few different ideas and concepts from the main timeline, but played out differently in this world. She's basically an alternate elaboration on the consciousness on-board the Death Egg known as "Mirror" (Sonic the Fighters), which duplicates it's opponents' image (in this case, she's stuck in Proj's figure, and would be portrayed more as her own independent identity). She will be identified as a "Shadow Android", still retaining the idea that Eggman has tried to make copies of Project Shadow for himself.

I don't have much to say about her plot relevance at present besides her being something of a henchman for Eggman along with Metal Sonic. She'll likely appear during the events of the alternate Heroes, ShTH, Battle and 06 events as a rival/antagonist towards Proj herself. As for her design, I was inspired to create her after seeing this adoptable which predates the creation of Proj by a large margin: fav.me/d5l6nfn So I've gone about getting permission from the owner and the original artist to adopt her for myself, which I've loosely used as the design basis for Mirror here.

For the adjusted details, I've obviously made her more like Proj in appearance, while translating the details of the adoptable and taking away the traits that make Proj unique (her freckles are replaced by barcodes, and her tail and fringe lack her Wisp-like curls). The clothing is loosely based on the adopt while making it look more like an Eggman uniform. I'll be borrowing the identity for Mirror, as she plays a similar role to hers as Eggman's henchman (the colour scheme of her uniform is loosely inspired by her too!). Finally, the headpiece I've given her here in place of Proj's is based on the gem hanging off Tails Doll's head. On Mirror it stores the essence of Proj's Hyper-Go-On energy and acts as a control device for Eggman to wield her.

Anyways, I'm probably more rusty giving my long spiels, I'm a bit tied for words, so I'll just leave it at that! Expect to see a few more bits and pieces from me within the next few days.
