Jin is able to remain calm under the most intense pressure, allowing him to stay focused through many situations. If he were to appear as though hesitant or passive, he is most likely to be assessing the situation or simply waiting for the right chance to strike out.
Despite his seemingly mastered self-control, defeat or failure is able to derail him as he becomes focused on his failures instead. This makes him a terrible loser and instead of finding alternative solutions, he may waste a large amount of energy on self-recrimination.
In general, he is energetic and charismatic when not negative, being supportive and compassionate to those around him, but however not always genuine. Negative, he can be ruthless and provide little to no help, instead having his mind narrow.
History
Yu Jin was born into a family that lived in a smaller village in Song Lu. There wasn't much but quiet and attending to their small field that provided their own meals, little bartering with neighbors, housing a traveller that was on the way to the city for a night for a small fee. As an only child, he was often doted on and didn't need to help out his parents until he was around seven. By then his parents had another child. With the arrival of a younger brother, Yu Jin was suddenly out of the spotlight and out working with his father in the heat and cold.

He developed a dislike, a jealousy of his sibling and often caused trouble to gain attention which earned him nothing but frustration and being locked out a few times. Yes, he was the child that, when laying eyes on the baby for the first time, uttered, "It's a monster." After just a few months, his parents sent him off to stay with his grandfather in the city as he'd been too persistent.

His grandfather was fit, and his appearance at the time didn't match his age. Upon his arrival at his relative's house, he learned that his grandfather didn't hold back on discipline. At first, there was always yelling and screaming coming from the upper floors of the shop, their home. Not only that, but Yu Jin didn't make things much better for himself; he became friends with kids that roamed the street, getting whatever they wanted. Pickpocketing and stealing was quickly picked up although his grandfather disapproved of it greatly. The stolen items were returned if the owners were found, and if not, then they were put up for sale. Over the years, the bickering became a norm; something the two did almost fondly.

These things continue to this day, only with his grandfather now aged too much to handle the store on his own. Yu Jin no longer associates himself with other perpetrators of petty theft, but finds it hard to resist if given an opportunity to swindle or work his sticky fingers for more things to sell on his own.

He now occasionally helps out at his grandfather's store, though mainly sells as a street vendor with a younger boy as his assistant.
