This was painted in a bit of a rush and I'd never painted people head to toe before, or guitars, etc. So it was a whole lotta fun!

Danger Mouse, Jack White and Norah Jones have joined together to pay tribute to legendary Italian film composer Ennio Morricone. Entitled Rome, the project is the brainchild of Danger Mouse and Italian composer Daniele Luppi. White and Jones were brought on board to lend vocals the tracks.

The movie is out (in the US, anyway) on DVD. there is a link in the artist comments to the movie, in case you're in another country.
It was a great movie for anyone interested in guitar, gives each one's individual story, how they came to innovate their own style of playing and amplification.

You're very welcome. I have no training, but I do enjoy practicing, and even if I don't get to a professional's level of proficiency, I have fun learning and improving, and that's all I really care about, since it's a hobby.
I did take a quick look at the magazine in the link, but I didn't see anything about the film except the premier in London. But I can always look it up on Netflix or whatnot.

omg lady how I love this. ;-; The colors are really nice and soft, and so are the lines and that really makes this stand out. My only real problem with it is a small one and that is that I think Jack's face looks a bit weird.
But I don't care, I still love this to pieces.

yeah, Jack had some odd shadows falling on his face, and I only had 3" of space (that's alot smaller than heads I usually do, when I need to get a likeness) I have a new Jack coming up very soon

Oh wow... told me that you are doing some It Might Get Loud thing and I was kinda curious about it and it's awesome. And yeah...guitars are a hard work, especially the strings (even with pencil^^) But wow...awesome. Really, really awesome.

Thanks so much!! I learn something with each new painting! In the end I didn't use a brush on the strings...I laid in color and "carved" them out with my color shaper...none too evenly, I might add! can't draw a straight line (without a ruler)
I'm sure there will be more guitars in my future to paint, haha
