"Well, I said I was gonna show you what I can do , so...here's what gonna happen. I'm gonna place my hands on the sides of my head, count down from three, and when I reach zero....I'm gonna pull straight up on my head, causing it to detach from my body."

"...No, I'm not crazy, I actually CAN take my head off! *sigh* Look, just...just sit back and watch, ok? Alright, here we go!"

"There, you see? My head came off, just like I said it would! And before you ask...no, it doesn't hurt when I take my head off. In fact, I actually ENJOY being 'headless' like this, so I think I'll keep my head detached for a while..."

"Anyways, I'm sure you're just dying to know HOW I made my head come off, right? Well, it's pretty simple, actually. You see, even though I may look like a normal human, I'm actually a type of Fae known as a dullahan, capable of.....wait, are you saying you DON'T know what a dullahan is?"

"...Alright, fine...I guess I can tell you a bit about us dullahans. So, the first thing you should know about dullahans is that, like all Fae, we're capable of using magic...REAL magic...specifically, the kind capable of bending the laws of reality. And while I can use this 'spatial magic' to do some pretty amazing things, like creating portals or manipulating gravity, my favorite use for it is something we dullahans call 'Natural Body Magic' or 'NBM.'"

"Basically, NBM is a form of spatial magic capable of altering one's body in various ways, though it's most commonly used for detaching various body parts. Yeah, I can detach MORE than just my head if I wanted to, but it's kinda hard to do that when you're fully clothed, so...maybe I'll show you that some other time. However, I actually don't need to use NBM to take my head off. That's because dullahans naturally possess the ability to detach our heads and re-attach them at will. Though...I wouldn't be surprised if the same magic that powers NBM is what lets us take our heads off. I mean, SOMETHING has to be keeping us dullahans alive when our heads are detached, you know?"

"Oh, but here's the best part. It turns out that by using a very specific NBM spell known as 'Langwidere's Gift,' I can actually give others the ability to detach THEIR heads as well! Yeah, that means my sister Zoey and our friends Heather and Claire can take their heads off, just like I can! Of course, I might have given them this 'gift' so I can use it to mess with them later. I mean, I AM a dullahan, and...well, we do enjoy stealing people's heads for fun, you know? Anyways, when you do meet them, make sure you ask them to show off the 'gift' I gave them, ok?"
