Ahh finally got it to work...>.<Last submission before I disappear off for a while in prep for Otakon. This is my 2nd painting for Otakon Art Show, this painting measures 7" x 15.5" and is done in ink, watercolor, and gold paint/pen on 300g watercolor paper. Doing the BG in gold nearly destroyed my hand...I layered it with gold pen 3 times to get the radiance of the gold ink to show...

Amazing! You did a really good job on capturing the japanese art style in Okami.
<3 My favourite celestial brush gods are the Boar, Tiger and the Cat because they're some of my fave animals.
I also love the Snake for it's design.

Really awesome. I love the separation with the long black stripe, as well as it being Okami's tail that paints it. Very good arrangement.

nicely done! the central composition really works here. the only critique i would make (if i may) is that the central figure should be brought out more (with contrast, colour) given that it's compositionally the most important figure. but i absolutely love the concept that his tail (i'm so sorry i don't know these characters) is a paintbrush. it makes the subject itself perfectly suited to the vertical composition and traditional style.

I totally get what you're saying, however for this picture the focus is not really specifically supposed to be on the wolf (though she is the main character and therefore at the front/center ) but rather the red in contrast to the white so you can appreciate each celestial god. Thanks for the crits izy!!
