Thank you to everyone for the views, comments and favs! I didn't think I would win a DD for this one. Thank you taeliac for the suggestion.This is the halloween costume my girlfriend and I made this year. We came in 2nd and won $300!!! :-D
I made all the leather armor.

where did you get the armor from? It must have cost quite a lot!

I made it by hand.
No machine, no prefabrication.
I bought raw leather from Tandy's (Love that place!) and hardware (rivits, spikes, dye, ect) and then went crazy! :-D
It was fun and I can't wait to start on the next one.

its a reference tosouthpark. no matter how badass a costume looks-it could never bat endy in her chewbacca costume. have n beef with wookies-more of an ewok cat myself though.

The helmets/crowns are my favorite too. They are also the part that took the most time.
I have plans for a more full face/knight helm soon.

but soon enough i will be able to experiment along side my cousin who does somewhat of what you do...

Yes, leather working is not that hard....but it is a little expensive. But if you have a cousin who is into it you might be able to borrow tools (the expensive part) Leather runs on average about $3 per square foot.

I took a look at the pics and I must say that that looks like one hecuva Halloween party ^.^
I also think you were robbed and should have got first place. Then again I probably would have given it to to surreal skeleton suits. I guess it comes down to what strikes a person's fancy at a certain moment in time. Good luck next year.

I really thought the skeletons were going to win. They had UV flashlights that they shinned all over themselves as they danced around. Cool effect and good creativity.

Slick! Though I hate to break it to you....there is no pattern for me to share...just some basic measurements and a coupvle sketches. this being my first armor....I just made it.
