Ode to Pitoess; Dark Queen of Marmo, b/c there's just not enough fan art of her out there
cheers!phew! this took way more effort then i would have ever guessed. first off I would like to thank for all his help and guidance on this piece. if it wasn't for him i would have scrapped this 10 times over. It's the first piece I have attempted in a more realistic style with virtually no reference except for the hand. the goal was to get better at metal armor overall. but the lighting and pose kept changing and warping as i kept painting so there was a lot to fix.I knwo it's still not perfect and i could keep fixing it till i'm blue in the face, but you gotta know when to call it quits
so yeah, no clue how many lunches this took me...but it's been probably 2 weeks

I have always thought that Pirotess was smoking hot. This just reinforces that opinion even more. In some ways I preferred her over Deedlit, but Deedlit over her in others. Now if we can just combine the best of both, that would rock.

i have to say that it does look stunning, and her bare hand was actually the very first thing i noticed. my first thought was along the lines of 'zomg that hand looks real O.O' i also love the shading and the hair, so much detail was put in, it looks fantastic. only thing i would say is that the face looks the least 'realistic'. i think her facial features could be softened up a little, but that may be just my opinion.
you did do a fantastic job on the armour, too. the soft lighting on the armour adds a sort of romantic feel. i think it was 2 weeks well spent :3

Very nicely done! Better than the anime artist drew her! (No offense to the anime artists meant.) Even though she's a villian, Pirotess is one of my favorite characters in Records of Lodoss War.

Did you use any textures or armour tutorials for the armour? I'm trying to improve on mine too and feel like my progression is slower than I'd like it to be

no tutorials, but i did add in a lot more highlights and reflections then i normally do. and i did texture it lightly in certain areas with a brushed metal photo I've been using forever now. the texture definitely helped bring it to life

it's not really that good lol, very old anime. but still, my favorite elven char of all time. she only appears for about 10 minutes total in the entire series though.

Record of Lodoss War is one of my all time favorite Animes. I have watched it several times. While she is only in the movie a short time, she does play a pivotal role at one point. Love her.
