When I first saw the picture and who it was from, I was a little surprised. For one, the Warhammer 40k universe is meant to be a grimdark future and seeing this kitten pawing at the helmet of this Space Marine medic cracks that mood. I almost didn't see that he was actually hoisting up this cat with his left hand and for a moment I thought he was just standing on the side of his armor.
The details, such as the large crack on his right shoulder pad and the scratches on his helmet, are visible even on the preview image and the sway of the banners posted on his armor gives a bit more life to this scene.
Last, but not least, is the white outline around this character which, although not realistic, is a very nice touch as it distinguishes the character from the background. Otherwise, he would have blended in too much.
My only suggestion is that the marine's head seems to be not tilted enough towards the cat which would have enhanced the mood of this piece. He instead seems to be not paying it any attention.
