Gonna write more on this tomorrow. I’m exhausted. was out working in the barn all day >m<;
EDIT: ok! now that the next day has rolled around, i feel equipped to actually explain all this bullshit!
1. Interrobang loves plants! succulents are his favorite, but he specializes in caring for all kinds of plants, and has had thousands of years to perfect his craft. he can successfully identify most plants through smell and touch (though it does get him some rashes on occasion if he touches something poisonous).
2. this drawing actually scares me
anyway, Interrobang's face and neck are absolutely covered in tentacles. these tentacles make up his mane, beard, and moustache. but they don't act like tentacles; they act like hair. they can be pulled out (this is very difficult to do, tho, because of how thick they are), cut without pain, etc. they do have a sense of touch, but aren't painful to remove. its more irritating than anything. Interrobang does cut them when they get too long (they grow exponentially), but aside from that, he can't fully shave them because he uses them to navigate his environment to a small extent. they also leave a small stub when cut. if this stub is shaved down too much, the tentacle will grow back slower and slower until it doesn't grow back at all, meaning they can't be fully shaved down. they do partially block his ears, which he uses most to navigate his environment, so he often keeps the tentacles near his ears shaved down as much as possible.
3. like deer, elk, and the like, Interrobang's horn regularly sheds every year. it grows back in all kinds of different colors and shapes, but this shape is the most common one.
4. Interrobang doesn't have 'teeth' per say. inspired by the beak of an octopus, he has several keratin plates inside his mouth to replace teeth. they don't fall out, and also grow exponentially, meaning that Interrobang has to shave them down in order to keep them in check, giving them their rough shape. he also works very hard to keep them sharp, and can cut right through bones with them. he also doesn't have an actual tongue. instead, his tongue is similar to the tongue of an alligator or a crocodile, in that it is permanently attached to the bottom of his mouth. this adds to the list of reasons why he can't talk. he can enunciate words, but not very well because of his tongue's position in his mouth. it can move, but only slightly.

6. his very disproportionate body. the tentacles make his head look a lot bigger than it is, i promise. his second wing didn't fit on the drawing so i just chopped it off. he has a very fluffy tail :>
7. Interrobang has an 'exposed' spine (it isn't his actual spine; these crystals only grew off of the vertebrae and split through his skin). it isn't painful, but these crystals have a sensation of touch and are very sensitive. they're very hard to break, but when they do, it hurts like hell. Interrobang has hundreds of spells in place to protect them from breaking. these spinal crystals are also statically and magically charged, and when he uses his magic, they produce an aura just like his horn does. if you look carefully, you can partially see his spine through the transparent crystals.
