NIKKI: Monday, August 2nd - Here we are in Adelaide, been here since early Sunday morning, and have been having a time here since!

Of course, Jonesy and I kinda keep forgetting that this is winter here in Australia (July here is akin to our January, calendar- and season-wise!), particularly here in the more southerly latitudes. Not quite so warm as back in Camooweal or Broome, I can tell you that!

Anyway, among the sites and places we visited (featured in the pics) included:
me checking out the Adelaide Festival Centre, particularly this interesting sculpture display along the entranceway radiating from King William St just past Parliament House at North Terrace. This is the prominent stainless steel Environmental Sculpture (also known as Tetrahedra), by Viennese-born Australian visual artist Bert Flugelman ;

both of us checking out the well-known suburb of Glenelg and its celebrated jetty and beach. When we first got there, it hadn't started raining yet! [Note to self, if we ever come back Down Under, come in the late spring!];

And of course, us sharing a nighttime romantic kissing session by the Victoria Square Fountain, immersing ourselves in its "lit water-colours"!

Actually, most of the time we were out-of-doors around Adelaide, we were each wearing a light jacket. Sure, it's winter here, but at least it only feels like our fall. More on that later.

Anyway, we had asked a couple visiting the Square that night if they would take our picture... it would be a picture of us, regular attire, no jackets, kissing at the Fountain. So... after they took our picture, we graciously took their picture doing the same thing, albeit in their own jacketed attire!

The weather was cool around Adelaide, but enough sun to take the chill off and make us remember we are in Australia!
