Description
I drew Kelleen today because I haven’t drawn him in a long time. Starting to work on his species a little more these days. I really love how this turned out.
This is his bipedal form but a headshot isn’t much different from his feral form tbh.
The bioluminescent markings are unique to each Insirin, like a fingerprint. They aid in courtship, non-verbal communication, hunting, distracting predators, dominance displays, etc. They don’t all light up at the same time, they can light in different patterns and vary in intensity. When not in use, they fade and darken and look just like regular markings.
Color of the bioluminescence is dependent on which region the parents came from and where the offspring is born. Some regions have blue-green violet, some have blue-green orange, red, etc. Helps them determine where an individual was born.
Mane is generally kept long, but trimmed so they don’t look like a hobo. They can be worn in many different styles and are usually well-decorated. A mane that has been clipped very short usually signifies dishonor or defeat.
Uhhhh I’ll write more later or something or you can send me asks!
Insirin are a closed species
