Description This is a 30 X 40 inch acrylic painting on canvas. It is nowhere in particular and with the exception of the Mobilgas logo was completely made-up. It reminds me of the range country in Montana or perhaps even eastern Washington State, the area around Pasco or thereabouts. Again I had to go with the 'Twelve' thing for the number.

This photo I had to post of the painting isn't awfully good but in the distance, in some detail, is a radio/microwave relay tower, it's ironwork painted red and white as it often is. I like the Juxtaposition of that with the red and white Pegasus. The way that country out there browns up looks incredible against those deafeningly blue autumn skies. I could paint that stuff forever.

I really hated to sell this painting but it went to a good home, that of John DeMattais, DDS, in New Jersey.

No prints are available of this painting.

Thanks Blu, I'm not very good with color. I tend to simply paint things the colors they are, or how I imagine they'd look, in this case.---ddK

Amazing
I like realistic arts better than abstract ones, and you executed them beautifully.

Thanks Marleen. It's always the best, reading compliments from very very talented artists. It took a couple of nights to paint and was one of those rare pieces I didn't even draw a sketch of prior to. Take care, David Koloc

You complain about the sand if you want to How. I like that you have that moxy, to step on my toes once in a while. I need it to remember this stuff isn't mine, isn't me. I'm so fortunate and never want to forget how human and just lucky I am. Happy friday in that great looking place that is your corner of the world. ---d

Sadly I'm not as good a businessman as perhaps I am an artist. It's nice to know it's out there in Jersey somewhere getting all looked at and what not. Thanks for the comments. I love your resubmit piece !!! dd k

Thank you so much.
Go figure... I actually knew he was a dentist when I sold it to him.
Oh well, there seems to be more where that one came from. ---DK

I love hearing that kind of stuff, Especially when I can see so many flaws in my work, things I'd have done differently, benefiting retrospectively. As Ed Wood used to say, 'Next time, it'll be better'! Thanks for the kind notice. ddK
