Description This is the last in the series of 3 Butterfly pictures. This was for my mum, the other two where for my two cousins:

I painted the paper with Ecoline Liquid water colours before starting the cut. All hand cut, this took around 7 hours .... i think.... i don't monitor the time on personal projects (but people do keep asking how long it takes).

Thats it now for a while with the butterfly and heart theme. All the images where done after my Aunts death and its been a project that i have poured a lot of emotion into. My way of dealing with loss is to loose myself in art, and i feel with the completion of this paper cut that it is time to move on to something new.

Sorry to hear you lost your mum, I can't imagine what your going through. 
I feel lucky to be able to use art in such a way, I don't know how I would deal without it.

This looks amazing! I'm marveling at the amount of detail you've managed to get in here. The color of the paper also adds to how awesome this piece looks.
