USC Acolyte bomber. 4th generation concept, produced at Darious Shipyards.MASSP-magnetically accelerated solid state plasma. (damn, it took me a while to find the definition for that. It was hidden on my ancient scrap [link] ) The pair of them (one in each wing) provides the rapid fire for close range defense.
The ion/mercury laser is the anti-capital ship weapon on this bomber. It punches right into shielding with little resistance.
Solid state missles, four aft launch tubes, and one foward tube.
The molecular shunt redirects stray particles for active shielding. Thus, the shielding is much more effective in an atmosphere than in empty void.

Some of my oldest watchers might recognise this ship. I'm finaly back to drawing my own universe...and this time I've got lackeys to model the stuffs for me.

That's cool man! i know about 3d modeling and I can tell it will look nice when finished. I hope you don't mind but I started making a googlesketchup model myself(with some modifications) but it's far from finish and i'm putting in it about 2 hours per week soo it will take time

I shall be honored to see your take on the acolyte dude. If I didn't have so much stuff going on with AFF now, I'd redo this old model myself. I've recently become a environment artist...trying to wrap my head around that.
Also, I did lose the original file in a laptop HD death, so I'd have to start from scratch, which is not beyond me i admit, but Angels Fall First has priority.

brilliant design... everything about this is very pleasing to they eyes! im just worried about its mpg with the atmospheric flight you talk about. not the most aerodynamic of craft

When you can manipulate gravity on a local scale, you don't need to worry about molecular movement slowing you down.

It's strong enough for my purposes. It can bend light, and other fun things that I wanted these ships to be able to do.

I figured I could take quite a few liberties with the weapons due to the story occuring several thousand years in the future.
