the best way to do random designs i find is to scribble geometric forms down quickly, and to make sure there is some sort of flow between the overall shapes.

I've actually been doing the same thing, my hand goes crazy, I let it flow then I got stuff such as Mountain & Masada (of which is yet to be scanned once I find a larger scanner).
