Titus attacks Couwan, Folora, Dala, Bala, and Lilyena. Lilyena stays behind to fight Titus, enabling the others to escape. Titus makes short work of Lilyena and chases Couwan and his friends across the park. They use every trick in their books to try and stop him, but the Prime Commander is very powerful. He summons a group of Makhai to aid him, and the demons fight Couwan and his friends. They manage to defeat the demons, only to be overwhelmed by Titus. As the warlord traps them and gloats over his prey, Couwan uses his telekinesis to wrap Titus' cape around a trebuchet. Couwan then activates the trebuchet, which flings Titus far away from the park. They then make their escape.

Daizua finds Lilyena unconscious in the hotel and tends to her. She laments that she failed, as she sent Couwan to flee to safety. The two set out to find their son. In the Spiny Mountains, word of Tartarus reaches the Titans. Zrago warns the other Titans not to interfere in the Home People's affair, much to the dismay of many of the warriors, particularly veteran Zcarface…
