11. Monster War, pt. 2

-After Nikkugon is freed from the Shatterickians' control, the gang and Dajji join forces against the aliens' ultimate monster, Irasuton.

Summary:

Ryoko and company soon meet a new alien: Nikorasu, a member of the Dajji, a once proud race whose planet was destroyed by Irasuton. He reveals the Shatterickians' weakness: ear-piercing sounds disrupt their cybernetics, which they rely on to survive. This proves to be true when a squad led by the mind-controlled Daiji attacks. Erumu's alarm clock on his phone emits a loud sound that kills the aliens and frees Daiji from control. Ryoko convinces Daiji to redeem himself after he enters a depressed state.

The gang sneaks into the mothership to free the monsters from control, and Yakumo has come to help. The plan works, and all the monsters are freed and start attacking the invasion forces. They are too late, however, as Irasuton descends upon the Earth and battles Nikkugon. As his great size makes him impossible to fight, Yakumo teleports the other monsters to help. Most of them are soon killed, with Gorugona, Cetatyrannus, and Suchorius rendered unconscious. Nikkugon enters a stressed state and starts unleashing powerful shockwaves that burn Irasuton. The humans deploy the sound and are able to kill Bortorias and his men and flee the mothership, but Nikorasu volunteers to stay behind and fly the mothership into Irasuton, sacrificing his life to weaken the beast. After Nikkugon inflicts a few more blows, Irasuton is forced to retreat back into space.

Gorugona, Cetatyrannus, and Suchorius are moved to a remote island later named Monsterland, where the beasts are studied. A new military group is made under Clayton's leadership, called the Monster Defense Force, designed to handle future monster threats. Daiji also explains his past to Ryoko, his bond with Nikkugon, and his need to seek redemption. As they walk, coroner Dodge Bloodstone mysteriously tells the gang that "Death doesn't like to be cheated," and warns them to be careful. However, they ignore his warning and leave, believing this to be nonsense...
