...Just a thought. Since Toph was blind from birth, wouldn't it be logical to think that she would have no concept of sight? That is, she would have no understanding of what it's like to see, or what "seeing" really is? Because even if someone tried to explain it to her, she would have no frame of reference for it.

XD My point is not the concept Toph has of sight, but the difference between her condition and Lin's: since Toph "sees" through her bending, if she were to lose it she'd be completely blind. But as Lin can see, losing her bending is not that destructive for her. That's why she should be happy
