I put some honey on a lavender flower so she'd slow down, and allow me to grab onto the stem right below her with my left hand so I could rest the lens on that same hand to keep everything steady.Tech specs: Canon 40D (F13, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@ 3x) + an MT-24EX macro twin flash (-1 FEC).

I think that, to be perceived as a really good photographer, you have to throw out 99% of the images that you take. The hard part is to be disciplined enough to only keep that upper 1 percent...

you should try to lighten the background with another flash.
But its still a good shot,I like the"action"

In the area where I was shooting there wasn't any background -I'd need studio lights to get anything other than black.
