This ones been kissed by a set of japanese detail chisels i got for Xmas. It's a nice addition to my west coast carving tools that do the majority of the work.

LOVE 'em so far ... they were bought from Lee Valley, a mail-order company here in Canada. They came pre-honed and ready to go.

It is looking stunning at the moment, just look at those lines and planes, how can you not be motivated to keep working at it! And I'm not sure if it the wood or the light, but there are some really nice colours too.

Can't wait to see more, you'll keep posting update pictures?

Thanks so much, X-Unit! This is one of two I'm switching between these days, the other is a stone piece that gives me a completely different charge as it scrapes into shape. I'll try a weekly upload & hopefully force myself to schedule more time on this fellow.
