The mask is not wood it is actually Sculpy clay. It took me about 2 months to finish and is backed with soft leather so its comfortable being worn. the leather straps tie behind the head and it fits snugly and safely. This was sculpted all by hand and no molds were used.SOLD

So I have to ask. Is it different colors of sculpty clay or did you paint it? Is there a wire armature?

Impressive job of getting it to look like a piece of wood whose grain influenced its carving. If it were actually that, I'd say it was an exquisite piece of wood carving. So, excellent two ways.
