Description A short explaination about how I made that drawing. It's a large file. You probably need to hit the download button in order to read the text.

It's not extremely detailed, so you might need some photoshop knowledge already, but I hope it provides some insight on how I make my drawings and how you can do certain things.

Let´s begin,
the tutorial itself is made really stylish and particularly and the drawing
is a good example for this tutorial!
I myself like that you wrote down every step very detailed....
back to the drawing, i love the precise lineart with those muscels, also the pose itself and the colours are successfully as well but
i think those blue 'lights' would have influence the whole body much more,
like the shading and lighting.
To the background..hmmm actually the figure gives you the strong
feeling you are in a room or something like that i would´ve drawn a more
detailed bg to point up this effect anyway an awesoem tutoria
l and a beautiful drawing!

How would you do that kind of blur in Paint Tool Sai? For those who don't have photoshop.

I'm new to the whole digital art thing. I grew up with pencil and pen and that's what I'm most comfortable with, but your tutorials are really helpful. Even if they don't go into super detail, they give a really good jumping off point so thank you ^.^

pretty cool! i don't have a lot of experience with digital drawing (well, almost no experience actually) but liked the tut a lot...do you use a tablet or just your mouse? i am beyond awful with my mouse which is the main reason i don't even try, but i'm saving up to buy a tablet and could really use some advice on which one to get...if you do use one, what brand? i'm kinda leaning toward wacom but i've seen some great reviews on cheaper ones so idk...lol

I used a tablet for that drawing, and I've been using all kind of tablets over the years.
If you're serious about getting into art, I'd certainly advice to buy a wacom. The price is a bit higher than the others, but it has excellent quality.

Ok thanks for the advice!
That is probably what I'll go with...I've read some good reviews about some of the cheaper ones but you ususally get what you pay for so I'd rather spend a little extra than get something that doesn't work well.
