Trouble was, the monster, spawn of an unnatural act, had no human feelings. A manEater. TheseusΒ did the wirld a favor by terminating this freak of Chaos.

Awe Poor Minotaur! Also love the skin textures. What mediums did you use in creating this? What was your first layer/medium? Excuse the bombardment of questions..

Itβs nice to see that Iβm not alone in my feelings that Asterius was more a victim than a monster.
Itβs a terrific piece!

i just stumbled upon this while investigating the Kubert school. There is a lot of emotional resonance in this piece of art and felt a need to tell the creator that I appreciate it.

I absolutely love this picture, the emotion layout and colors. I just wanted to say thanks because this picture inspired my term essay for my Child Development class on an analogy between Minotaur's story and the plight of children abandoned because of dissibilites.
Much love and thanks~

Was the Minatour that intimidating towards King Minos that he just had to treat him like an "it" ?

I really like how the title gives a different idea to the concept of the minotaur as being an abandoned child instead of the monster it is usually depicted as. I read a version where it did sympathize more with the creature but the illustrations were childish and not very fitting. This on the otherhand really captured that emotion. I love it!!

There seems to be so much symbolism in the picture. I was a tad disappointed not to see much elaboration on the composition of the piece...but nevertheless, it's well done.

The detail and emotion of his is so wonderful. I love Greek myths and I've read both non-fiction and fictional adaptations of the Minotaur myth. This definitely captures his vulnerability as a child, the side not really shown in the myths generically. Great work!

Hmmm this proves that there are currents of ideas, because I drew a child Minotaur (not nearly this detailed and beautiful) a couple weeks ago on a whim.

Aw, man. This is beautiful and IMO much more likely to reflect how a real minotaur would be. At least when no one's around.
