I guess you can use your imagination and say this takes place after the last scene. I bet Chicken Buu didn't know that he going to have to put up an fight for his food (or should say that his food was going to fight him back)! Poor Piccolo!
I think I'm going to be on a Dragon Ball kick this week...
This past summer I got my hands on season 4 & 5 dvds of the original series (I'm talking about very beginning). Just now getting around to watching them and loving every bit of it. I would suggest to please watch it subtitled instead of the English version. Way too censored and edited (aka butchered)
