I've never shown you guys my Griffon design, have I?TBH, I've never drawn a Griffon before either <_<
So this little birb is a WIP for another aircraft character in Wings of Fire. She already has her aircraft "role" picked out, and I plan to give her an outfit/gear kit that ties her to that aircraft which she draws inspiration. Her "naked" look alone displayed here is more or less independent of the aircraft in question.
I can only do olive drab and grey schemes so many times >_>
Her "plumage/hair" was inspired by Hanzo from Overwatch actually of all places. Idk why, just thought it was neat looking, I might trim it in the future.
Feel free to speculate what she'll be based on!
I've written her to be tied into Griffon culture as we saw in later seasons, with the culture that has "fallen" from it's former glory.

Griffons. Equestria's brutish, noisy, warlike cousins. As barbaric as griffons tend to be, this one looks pretty good though. Very expressive. got any names for her yet?

I'm very tempted to keep the FIM naming convention that all Griffons have names that start with "G".
Been looking up names with G that have some meaning to her character. Gunnel is one that caught my eye.

Probably for the best to keep it a 'G' name. Maybe its something about how their beak lets them talk that makes 'g' sounds easier.
Gunnel sounds cool. Trying to think of one that doesn't sound too prissy, but I'm having trouble coming up with anything better.

Heh. I would commish you cloie, but A: I'm broke, and B: your style doesn't really work with what I would want. That and I'm good friends with Buckwiser and he does fighter jets and PONES better than anyone.
And pls pls tell me she's a good guy. A griffon as a villain is way too overdone.

Thats a beak with some edges. Neat looking griffon she is ... and yeah that streak of hair , thats where Hanzo came in 
Speculating wich plane you "put" on her: The griffon says british, but some russia is missing in your lineup
Griffons are generally bigger than ponys, so maybe a larger one with some punch. Something along the lines of Mosquito, Havoc, Bf 110 maybe. Well I am excited for the reveal.
Also she could be either: "good" or "bad". Both could fits her atm.

She looks awesome! I've always seen griffons as powerful fliers. She'd fit a lot of aircraft pretty well in my mind. Can't wait to see what she'll be! =]

That's how I feel too! So I'm sure you can guess she'll be based on a ...heavier duty aircraft
