Lately instead of uploading full resolution and letting deviant art resize my photographs, I have been resizing them myself before upload. This means that when I add a little sharpening, which I have always done anyway, now I do it after resize. This seems to actually have better results giving a much sharper appearcance and generating much less noise in the process too.
