Long time since I uploaded anything here. Thought I'd just put this up here, even though it's technically just a sketch.Feel the need to try new things. I have yet to find a digital technique that feels comfortable for me. Made this quick sketch if my main dude Haze, just to practice on something I feel comfortable with.

I had been missing your work a lot. It's great to see you back.
This looks good. The shading is really natural looking. I think you could paint in multiple transparent layers over this and get a lot of "natural media" depth.
I've never been able to figure out how to work in digital effectively so I'll be interested in seeing your experiments.

Digital art is still a riddle to me, so this was entirely just was way for me to feel around and test the tools.. Well see how it turns out in the future ^^

This looks really good, tho. The brushwork is really natural and the shading is so lifelike. I also like the soft colors.
Do you use layers? I know one good way to work is to start with a soft base layer like this, lock it, and then add new painted transparent layers over it..just like with oil paint. Then the background can be a whole different set of layers and you don't have to worry about spoiling your previous work if something doesn't work out.

I see it more as a challenge NOT to use layer xD
A couple of friends of mine paint on one layer only and prefer it that way, I have no idea how they do it since I need several layers just to keep track on everything...
