This is just amazing. I love how you almost merged everything together but managed to keep them from blending too much. Excellent shading and detail. Very original.

i try to keep all my pieces original (easier said than done especially as i tend to look at more art now than i use to- alot of it on this deviantart site). cheers 4 taking the time to look at my work.

im glad you enjoyed the piece. yeah all my stuffs handdrawn but i reckon it looks good on computer screens as its more compressed so it looks a bit smoother (not that the originals arent smooth).

it is i guess but i do it so it cant be too hard. my new piece was giving be a headache today and all i was trying to do was draw 7 circles. some days is easier than others but i dont mind the stress if im happy with the outcome.

appreciations. dont look at it for too long or let anyone under the age of 10 see it. alot of people like that tiger, it does look alright but i reckon the snakes mouth was the most realistic thing i drew in the picture although it doesnt really fit into the composition at all.

1 minute stoned doodle about 4 years ago. allow 4 years to gather dust. then add 4 weeks headaches, confusion, solitude and wine and viola. thanks for the comment.

. thanks for the advice on using oils and acrylics. i do intend to move onto painting after my next piece (and maybe one more in felt tip). Im thinking about having painting classes next year so i can learn the techniques.

Wow! Very, VERY eyecatching piece. I love all of the different colours and shapes in this. I admire your patience for drawing all of these different animals with their differing features, colours, markings, etc. Personally, I like the tiger best. He REALLY stands out.

wow an excelent job at interlocking figures such a warm image. I dont have any real critique for this image. But i think it would be cool if you did images like this so that the animals would form obects. you would have to work really big. but say do all the animals that a factory is endangering in the shape of a factory, playing with the color choices so that it shades the factory while acuratly depicting the animal... or some such thing. awesome awesome work!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

danpurcell In reply to BlueHalios [2005-04-13 22:43:01 +0000 UTC]

thats a very good idea. im not going to do animals again as i dont do one artpiece that looks like another but in the future i may well use the morphings to other effect. an idea ive had from your comment is to make the sea out of those you have drowned from sinkings, the sky from the angels and the mountains from those on earth who are slowly melting away. i may call it 'soul of portraits' copyright dp 2005 and have certain images of myself in the centre with the eyes being eaten away by octopuss tentacles (dont know if they like the taste of my eyes?) its funny cause i made the same comment to jjccc without applying it to my work. this piece has no meaning blatently- just nice images. cheers for the advice.
