I absolutely LOVE the Disney Princess Designer Collection. Initially, I wanted to make the doll as close to the original illustration as possible, but then I realized the official Designer Rapunzel's dress and hair were pretty close, so I instead opted to try to recreate the "feeling" I had when I first saw the beautiful artwork.I started out with the Disney Store's Classic Rapunzel Doll as the base. I then rerooted and repainted her - both of which I did for the first time...and nearly caused me to stop the project! But I persevered...resulting in thicker, longer, shinier hair and a not-so-smooth face paint job (but I like it anyway! ). Because sewing is my comfort zone, the dress was the most fun part of the project, and when it comes to the hair, I decided I wanted it braided for two reasons: 1) I really like it braided in the movie and 2) having it braided would eliminate any tangled hair issues (no pun intended
). She's still missing an accessory...I was planning on giving her a brush...and Pascal...but those will have to wait until I have more time. All in all, I am happy with the way she turned out, this being my very first OOAK doll.

Hi! Sorry for the delay in a response. Great question! lol Poor Snow White got put on hold for a long while as I worked on other projects. Now that I know there's interest, though, I will do my best to complete her.

Hi. I used a combination of Liquitex acrylics and some doll paint from dollyhair.com...In the future, though, I plan to use more of the doll paint as it is easier to work with. Hope that helps!

Lovely, If you do Cinderella, my fav, can you give her the silver-white dress and make her a Strawberry blonde?

love it! i just bought the doll at the disney store (woot cast member discount!) and i have decided i want her hair braided im currently braiding it and then im going to make her a new outfit that is more true to the movie cus even disney doesnt stick to accuracy when they make their own merchandise

Thank you! I basically created a circle skirt using satin and chiffon, and the bodice is made with the edge of some beautiful embroidered beaded fabric, purple brocade, (scrapbooking) eyelets, and leather lace. I fitted everything to her as I went along since I don't use patterns.
