I wanted to create a realistic looking Griffon...so I scoured the library for pics, put them all together and vuala...LOL! A bit more complicated than that, and a lot of blood/sweat/and tears BTW. I lost a years worth of digital art work starting this project (I will never forgive MAC computers! EVER!!!!...ehem).Related content

wow, I love the detail! (from what I can see, for some reason full view isn't working today on DA) I find digital art to be completely difficult, and this is just amazing. The color scheme is especially perfect. It's so realistic, I really appreciate artists who can do something I can't.

Um...ditto! LOL! Really Your coloring is amazing so I don't think you should hope you will compare because your already there! We all have our strenths and weeknesses so its all relitive in the end.

I don't know - I still have soooo much I need to learn on all programs - and I need to learn to take more time - which is the one thing that bugs me about oekakicentral is the time limit.
But even on photomanips - I rely a lot on my drawing ability -- what you did with this picture is so utterly amazing to me - I've never seen anything that I would even consider close in comparison. -- how you got everything to match - proportions and colors and everything - it's just gorgeous

So you have a lot to learn...so do I. I wouldn't have even known how to even go about doing fur if you hadn't shown me.
Of course you rely on your drawing...its your strong suite! You'd be silly not to!
I could show you what I did one of these times. It wasn't that difficult. It just took time and patients...

the detail is ridiculously abundent. the colors are hard but forgiving, and welcoming - cause earth tones usually are.

YES! The Griffon! I /love/ this guy, and always have. You did a great job with it, and it looks just as good today as it did when you first started on it.
