Bizarre, and a lot of fun. I particularly like the foreshortened twist in the body of the large fish at the bottom of the bottle. Some nice refractions and caustic light cast by the glasses, and the reflection of the bottlecap is just tasty!
Form seems to be an element used more prominently here than in some of your other paintings, and with great effect.
The bottle forms tangents with the top of the page, the edge of the purple table, and the side of the nearest shotglass. While this is usually an avoid, it's working for me here, as it seems to give the bottle sort of a strange neurotic power, and the water level in the bottle acts as a fulcrum for the asymmetrical balance which is maintained by the large shotglass, which has a lot of visual weight in terms of scale and value contrast.
Similarly, the ambiguously small shotglass has parallels to the top of the large shotglass, and the base of the bottle, but counterbalances the bottlecap in grounding the composition both in terms of balance within the picture plane, as well as in the perceived three dimensional space.
And yet the even patterned brush strokes forming the gradients of the background create a flat texture that completely undermines the depth of the figure elements, creating sort of a visual brainteaser!
Great work.

Yay!! Thanks so much for taking the time. I always learn a lot from your crits.
I experiment and have fun with my work but when it comes down to analyzing what it is I've made I've got this bad habit of shrugging and movin on to the next thing.
Thanks a bunch for the valuable words my friend.

No prob, I always enjoy the chance to use the critical thinking skills. Takes me back to the crit wall in art classes. It's surprising that more people don't ask for critiques!

This is such a creative piece! I love how each fish is a unique individual, with its own shape and face~!
