Description A brand-new, revolutionary technique I call "creative framing".

What is it?
Normally, a frame surrounds the picture. In this series of images, the frame doesn't only correspond with the image, it becomes part of the image.

But that's not new. And it looks kind of strange, anyhow.
How dare you. Go figure!
If you really want the truth: I was having fun in photoshop. And I love the colour. Gotcha. (I was listening to Jasen Mraz. If that has anything to do with it?)

Based on an old picture ("Avez-vous validΓ©?", or in English: "Did you validate?") I took last year on my stay in Strasbourg. Unfortunately, it never was quite special enough to really deserve much attention. At least now (with all the orange) it's an eye-catcher.

well well well

i bet u knew i was gonna say something about the frame I do think some creative framing is great but the colour is just a bit too distracting. But that was the point wasn't it

and i think the shot is great! Very nice composition.

What, there's a frame? I hardly noticed myself.
I understand you when it comes to distractedness. But like you said ... it was the whole point. I love it. It's ... well, different.

I've always had a hang for the shot too. You can see the "original" here .

i'd say that the frame becomes the most important feature of the image. in fact, it does not match the orange details of the photograph, but, at this point, the details match the frame.
great creativity.
again, i couldn't say if the glass reflex is true or fake

Thank you so much.

I like to think that it's a give and take between the picture and the frame. Of course the most striking feature is the frame. Yet the frame would look pretty empty if there wasn't some sort of imaginary that spun the idea further and gave the frame a reason for existance.

(ps. The reflection is real this time. )
