Description Presenting Nodens, Lord of the Great Abyss, an Elder God and a hunter, known to some as Pan. He has taken time off hunting Nyarlathotep's servants to pay a visit to his youngest daughter, Helen Vaughan. Helen is, of course, overjoyed.

Also, Nyarlathotep tries to troll Wilbur Whateley; his attempt is, surprise surprise, unsuccessful.

Is it me, or does Nodens look like a Disney character?

Ehehe...

Disney was a formative influence on my drawing style, I'm afraid.

Well … wouldn't Wilbur be technically Nyarlathotep's grandnephew? I mean:
Nyarlathotep was spawned by Azathoth, Yog-Sothoth came from the Nameless Mist, which in turn was spawned by Azathoth.
So, Yog-Sothoth would be Nyarlathotep's nephew (even though he's probably much more mature) and Wilbur and his invisible monster twin would be Nyarlathotep's grandnephews.
Just a question, my memory concerning their f***ed up family tree is rusty.

I know all this. I just though 'nephew' sounds less clunky than 'grandnephew'.

I also call my own grand-uncles and grand-aunts just 'uncle' and 'aunt'. The older they are, the more they love it.

I can imagine. I've never met one of my grand-uncles/-aunts, though. Except for one and she's dead.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I've been very lucky to meet most of mine, even though we're all over the country... The ones I'm the closest to are actually my grandma's first cousins, and after she passed away they're pretty much my closest family - in terms of both emotions and, like, actual physical distance.

My relatives are strewn over three countries and I'm the only one who lives in Berlin, so … yeah.

My family on my father's side is British, my closest German relatives live relatively close to the German-Polish border and then I have some relatives in West Germany and some in Switzerland … I think.

Mine are from the Northwest and the Southeast of Bulgaria, but everyone has many siblings and many children, and they've spilled all over the place... I'm just glad most of us are still in the country, except for one aunt (Barcelona) and one cousin (Boston).

I personally like it better when all the connections between different entities and characters are left unexplained and hinted at; Loveraft himself aimed for ambiguity.

I just noticed the inverted ankh on Nyarl's headpiece. Very clever.

Will can go complain to his (girl)friend's dad though.

Btw, love your portrayal of Pan!

I think Wilbur would rather bite off his own tongue than complain to Nodens. He will run to his own daddy if Nyarly persists, though.

Ah, I didn't know who Helen Vaughan was. Just Googled it and now I'm off to see if I can find a copy of "The Great God Pan" to peruse!

Also, I love Nyarlathotep trying to troll Wilbur. Nyarlathotep always seems to be trolling someone...

Nyarlathotep simply cannot be at peace with himself if he doesn't try to trick/annoy/drive to insanity at least one living creature every hour or so.

P.S. I ship Wilbur/Helen.
