Sir DarkmaneTheWerewolf! I hath something to inform thee about. I seen plenty of Monster Hunter videoes that showst thee that if thou kick the white fatalist in the crotch about two or three times, it will die imediately! I don't knoweth that it'st a scam or not but thou shouldst try it.

Considering the beast possesses the ability to knocketh me flying with it's crotch when summonning lightning... I thinkest thou hast been lied to.

White Fatalist: This is PINGAS!!1
Be it as it may, but that "sends thee flying with crotch" part soundeth realy disturbing. Oh well, at least Youtube wast never a reliable source of info.

I gunlanced White Fatalis so i had to go right up close. Shelling works well against it when it's in Armour mode.

If i could help you, i would split that tigrex' skull with my greatsword!

I like fighting the White Fatalis But for each of them, you do have to be very alert as most of their attacks will kill you in one hit, even with full health and armour upgraded to the very max - with the extra upgrades available from beating Ucamulbas too.

And I like to battle giant monsters, but so far the only one I've ever took down wath the Jhen Moran... oh well, at least I went down happy. (no, I did not die)

XD Akantor and Ucamulbas are probably my favorite to fight. But they took them out of 3G along with Tigrex and black Tigrex too I have to make do with Albatrion, Navel Deus, Jhen Moran and, when i get far enough, Guran-miroasu.

Aww that'st sad... but impresive, if only they added that Zazami- smashy thunder crab thingy that exist in the Frontier generation. At least thou caneth swim with the gunlance, nay? I would like Monster Hunter TRI if only they included gunlances...

Taikun Zamuza does look pretty fun to fight I would like some Frontier monsters to appear on the handheld/consoles too ><

Well, 3G starts off pretty much the same as Tri with small fishing port except for adding the 3rd monsters in a section to introduce Kyanba and adding a new set of High rank stuff and night time free-roaming. The new multiplayer area is now a much bigger port that goes up to G-rank.

Hey, I hath a question for thee, when thou moved to the 3rd gen, doest thou miss the prior generations???

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-04-20 00:40:28 +0000 UTC]

I do sorta miss the old monsters. If i felt like it, i'd probably go back to P2G to fight some of the ones that didn't make it to 3rd/3G, especially the fatalis brothers.

Same here. Freedom 2 ist where I started monster hunting and I still remember the good times I wath an ameture hunter. one of the monster I miss from the 2nd gen is, everyones favorite, the Yian kut-ku. ^_^;

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-04-20 14:25:15 +0000 UTC]

I started with Freedom 1 . You don't know Kut-kus unless you've fought them in the original Monster Hunter or Freedom

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

eifle79 In reply to DarkmaneTheWerewolf [2012-08-12 06:11:55 +0000 UTC]

... Looking back into thy comment, what'st wrong with the yian kut-ku from the 1st generation?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-08-12 07:16:58 +0000 UTC]

Theres nothing wrong with the Kut-ku itself, it's just in the very first game and Freedom, before even Freedom 2, your first Kut-ku quest was a killer. At that point, your armour sucks and it can't be upgraded (That was added in later games), the weapons had the slightest slither of green sharpness if you're lucky and farmed for ages and anything less than green would usually bounce off the Kut-ku's hide. Then, you have to fight the thing in the old Jungle area which was so full of trees and leaves etc, it made it incredibly difficult to see. Couple that with the likelyhood that you'd have been incredibly inexperienced at the game if you just got into it too.

Basically, the game is set up so that it seems like they didn't intend for you to be able to beat the first Kut-ku XD

The Yian Kut-ku art some of the easiest monsters in history! It must've been quite humiliating to get taken down by the armoured chicken. (save the newcomers, which ist an exception...)

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-08-23 11:50:55 +0000 UTC]

As i said, if you started following the game from the start, it'd be a completely different story. You people who started from Freedom 2/Unite onwards had it so easy, you probably think Green Sharpness was a normal thing and Rathalos Plate are too common XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

eifle79 In reply to DarkmaneTheWerewolf [2012-08-24 00:15:11 +0000 UTC]

Um, green sharpness, yes. But the Rathalos plates.... What art they again??
BTW, the Rathalos might hath been *just* as hard as it ist during the 1st gen. I hate them so f#*king much!! With all their flying around and fire styles and poison strips and shit.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-08-24 17:04:08 +0000 UTC]

Actually, by comparison, Rathalos were freaking easy XD As hard as the freaking Kut-ku was, it makes you play better to beat it and as a result, I don't think i've ever had a problem with future monsters, including Rathalos (Aside from Forest and Hills area 9 but that was the game, not the monsters) It's poison attack isn't a problem, just run towards it, or superman dive in a random direction XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

eifle79 In reply to DarkmaneTheWerewolf [2012-08-25 13:12:28 +0000 UTC]

To me, the Rathalos Ist a LOT harder than the Rathian. It flies around a lot more frequently.
My chance of avoiding the poison strip Ist even, and I knoweth that moving towards the Rathalos and Using (my preciouse gunlance's ) shield canst block it, but a single strike ist lethal. If it lands, I have about 77% chance of getting screwed...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-08-25 17:54:28 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, Los are harder than Ians but neither are a match for my Greatsword Though the new Pink and Blue raths in 3G have completely changed my way of fighting them such that i now either lance or gunlance >< That sweeping tail of the Pink rathian is suprisingly unpredictable and also quite adorable XD While the blue los will kick and claw with it's talons a lot more, at most every opportunity since they will hover just above ground too ><

eifle79 In reply to DarkmaneTheWerewolf [2012-08-26 00:00:53 +0000 UTC]

Oh, Cute but deadly pink Rathian and draft surfer azure Rathalos? So they really intend pn screwing with us, eh?

DarkmaneTheWerewolf In reply to eifle79 [2012-08-26 17:21:40 +0000 UTC]

Eeyup >< Screwed with me quite a bit when i first went against them with a Hammer Blue rath required i put my weapon away and dive a lot more than normal, and Pink's sweeping tail flip meant i had to be a very good distance away so as not to get hit and poisoned >< Gunlance however, works very well I went through almost all of 3G with Gunlances, including beating Guran with one XD Though i don't suggest using it for Black Jinouga >< Took me freaking years to kill it on my first try since that think jumps about so much more than the regular one. DX

Thou useth gunlance in 3G? I useth switch-axe in P3rd! If thou get my guild card, thou'll be impressed by what I useth. My switch-axe use count went all the way to the top (211 and counting)! While the others (save the gunlance and bow respcetively) art merely stumps!

Giveth the Gunlance more love!! They are awesome weapons XD

Though i didn't get into them until the end of 3rd (I mainly used Hammers and Lances in that game - [link] [link] 322 and 114 respectively) When i subsequently got 3G on 3DS, i went with them through most of the game, XD with the odd hammer here and there [link] (260 in Gunlance, 182 in Hammer)

And don't worry, my fere, during my time in the 2nd gen, I wath REALLY obsessed with the gunlance, took down nearly every one of my kills with it!

They were in Unite and before. If i recall correctly, the original Monster Hunter only had the black Fatalis, Freedom introduced the crimson one but also had the black one too, then freedom 2 introduced the White one and had the other two also, but then 2G/Unite was the last game they appeared in.
