Description
  • The Grand ASHWORTH Fortune: Volume 01, Chapter 03 - Expect The Unexpected
    (edited on 24th April 2008)

  • Format: Western, reading from LEFT to RIGHT

I'm about 70% complete with The Grand ASHWORTH Fortune official website! ^^

There is nothing too fancy to be expected from the website because things are starting out small at the moment. But nevertheless is is worth a visit for those wanting to know how to order a copy of the first book and to find out a little more about what the universe of The Grand ASHWORTH Fortune has to offer.

I will definitely need a professional to help me build a flash website when things are on a roll with the cartoon series. ^^

Just today I've recieved invaluable feedback from my editor about how the comic sales went at the conventions. I will share with you the full details on my next journal update. In addition to that I will confirm the official time and date of when the comic will be available online and in comic book stores around Australia!

Enjoy this page while you can fellas! Once again I really appreciate the support that has been given to me lately!

    Hmmmm....
For the speech bubble on Panel Three, in there suppose to be a little triangle gap on the left-inside of it, or not? OwO''

Yes it is there for a purpose. ^^ It let's the reader know that it is the character doing the talking previously is continuing on their conversation with another. You can see this technique used in some mangas and Sonic Archie comics! XD

Thats hysterical XD I knew you'd add a lil sex appeal in the comic somewhere and I've glad you've used it to good taste aswell XD nothing like a bit of humerous sexual appeal I say :B Unless it goes to far and everything becomes a porno gah D: And wow your making an Ashworth website? hope it looks flashy and such and I hope the host is cheap too :B cheap but Groovy

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkspeeds In reply to ZoDy [2007-11-02 05:29:56 +0000 UTC]

I've realised that a bit of sex appeal is kinda essential in a lot of action adventure manga/anime/cartoons. O.O;; XXD

Cheers for the compliment on that! I'm planning to add in a bit of sex appeal from time to time to entertain the mature readers.

Ha ha! XXD The website is nothing too flashy. Not only the host is free. XXXD I'm making something really simple to give info to those curious to know more about the cartoon series. Your site is lookin' great BTW! Keep up the good work Zody! ^^ *thumbs up*

Well, I wasn't expecting that from Ruby. Haha, that's certainly one way of getting outta trouble! The expressions on every panel are well done. This page gave me a good laugh at the end. xD Awesome work, Elson! ^_^ Can't wait to see your site! All sites start off small, but I'm sure it's gonna grow a lot overtime! And just a quickie about paypal--do you accept the paypal echecks or just credit cards? =O

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkspeeds In reply to CCG [2007-10-22 13:21:26 +0000 UTC]

As long as I'm getting the money that's all that matters regarding the type of transaction used.

Thanks for sharing me your enthusiam once again Stephie! = )

I'd love to know how echeques work on PayPal, could you explain that one to me if you know significant how it's used. At the moment I'm accepting credit card transaction via PayPal and also normal bank cheques via mail and money orders but it doesn't hurt to know how to use PayPal echeques.

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CCG In reply to darkspeeds [2007-10-22 14:34:47 +0000 UTC]

Hm..I'm bad at explaining...xD; But in a way, I guess it's just the paypal method for users without credit cards...

...*copies what is written on the paypal site. * "An eCheck is an electronic funds transfer that withdraws money directly from your bank account. It's just like writing a check, only it is done electronically. "

I actually have a debit card rather a credit card...but I was recently told I could use it as a credit card when I buy online. o.o So hopefully this issue won't be a problem for me...but I just wanna make sure.

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkspeeds In reply to CCG [2007-10-23 12:32:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem at all. = ) I'd like to see how this work when the cheque comes in. I think when the transaction occurs money will be debited from your account and then I'll have to print out an official copy of the cheque sent in by you via PayPal. ^^

I can't wait to start sending in those copies to people! ^^ I wanna sign them and everything!

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CCG In reply to darkspeeds [2007-10-23 23:45:26 +0000 UTC]

I wish I could help explain better, but the only thing I've done with PayPal is buy stuff--I've never received money from selling anything (probably cause I have nothing to sell? )...but I'm sure you'll figure everything out soon enough.

I can't wait either! I imagine it must be really exciting for you--to know that so many people here are already ready to buy a copy! But hey, you're doing such a great job on your comic from all the previews I've seen thus far! I know I probably repeat myself in every single comment I leave, but I really do mean it.

    👍: 0 ⏩: 0

    HayaKenta [2007-10-21 22:59:14 +0000 UTC]

I can't wait to visit your website! I'm still confused about the whole ordering the comic online and stuff though. But it really doesn't matter at the moment anyway, since I can't buy it for a while. It would be nice to know exactly how to order it though, once I am able to buy it. I feel really annoying right now since you probably already explained it to me, but I totally forgot. You'll probably explain in your next journal though, so I guess I'll just wait.

    👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkspeeds In reply to HayaKenta [2007-10-22 13:17:51 +0000 UTC]

Don't worry all will be explained on my next journal. = ) My website will detail on how you can make an order with Paypal or even without the Paypla (via bank cheques, money orders).

I still highly recommend that people do it via PayPal because it is the most reliable, secure and efficient option - saves you time and money. *thumbs up*

I was expecting Ruby to kick the guard's rear. Guess she did, only mentally.

You don't need professional help to build a Flash website. If you have decent graphic design skills, you can easily do it yourself. Yes, Actionscript can be a pain, but only if you're doing a game or something equally complex. The code needed to build a website is simple and easy to learn. You'll almost only use "When button X is pressed, go to fram Y." codes. Give it a try.

Man I still remember when I used flash to make animations and it was bloodly complex I tell ya! XXD

Hmm though I can't ignore your suggestions in the near future... I may give it a go after all in terms of makign a website with it. = ) I'm currently sticking to Macromedia Dreamweaver to do my basic website. ^^

Oh and as for Ruby she's going to do something much more worse than that to any man can handle!
