Wow.I haven't drawn Sonic the Hedgehog in ages, let alone his super form.
This was a quick warm up exercise to prep up a challenge I have for you all. I managed to keep this illustration loose and under 60 minutes.

I can't even think of the last time I did super form! You did an epic job here, in the new style as well! Loosely drawn gives it a great feeling of motion and liveliness, which is perfect for the hyper state of being Sonic is in.

Great man! The Archie look is awesome, as is the line art quality. Despite being scratchy, it's clear and easily readable. The shades and depth stand out well too. I have a question; why did you choose to pose his hands with the thumbs tucked in? Typically I know that for fighting you don't do that (otherwise you'd break your thumbs) so was there any particular reason?

That's a great question, but the answer will be dissapointing - he's charging up I guess? lol!
I also wanted to keep it under an hour and I couldn't afford to throw in a dynamic half-closed hand/fist on either/both hands.

I noticed after the fact that this was a one-hour drawing, so time wise I know exactly what you mean. I've made tons of anatomical errors when working on a strict time frame. However in this case it's not an error.
Do you mean my profile pic? Haha, that show gets under my skin more than I realize huh?
I will have to change that. The goal is to look like absolutely no-one else.

Nicely done! Most of my favourite parts in the Sonic series involve Super Sonic, shame he hasn't appeared in Sonic Boom. Even so, this is a really cool piece.

This is a perfect example of what I'm looking for; open communication between artists/friends, committing to the art trade, sticking to the rules and having a blast while at it over the weekend - and look what came out of it?
What I really liked about these two talented artists are the fact that they share a web-comic series about Sonic the Hedgehog and shared a common purpose in their exercise. On top of that, why go for something predictable and do something different for a change? How about illustrating a human version of Sonic the Hedgehog of their comic series? Super neat.

Nice to see something Sonic-y from you again!I know that in many ways both Boom and the recent comics have let down your usually optimistic self,but he'll always have a place in your heart and you do have a penchant for way past cool renditions of the somewhat narcissistic yet endlessly fun and sincere character.
