Wheeeeee I finally got all the shading done. This is the finished b&w version I'm actually dreading adding color to this. It's going to take awhile to do it justice when I add the color T_T This is done as a gift for my twin sister ~JamieDavenport who asked me to do a picture of this cute lil angel she'd sketched up on tegaki-e, and run wild with it. which i did.I hate her wings, but ive never had to paint wings before without lines, so we'll just leave it at that XD

**Hand painted in Paint Tool SAI with a Wacom Intuos 4, and 2 default brushes. MUHAHAHAHA. Took an ungodly amount of hours spread out over a few months. Maybe like... 96 hours total or something like that.

I couldn't quite decide if I liked this or the colored version better. They're both amazing. But I like the black and white more, I think. It seems more dramatic and fitting for the picture. Lovely piece.

awwies thank you ^^ I do too -_- the other artist in the last running made a journal calling their watchers to vote for them :/ which I think is sort of sneaky and unfair in a way.. so I fell massively behind even though I was winning in the poll in the first round -___- but there's nothing to be done about it XD ah well, if I'd won I would have given the prizes to them anyway XD I usually give away the stuff I get <3 I have no need of it.

I agree, most contests prohibit that sort of thing these days, but nothing was mentioned on this one - so while i think it's a sneaky tactic, I can't really call foul -_- but it's okay :3 It's no big deal if I don't win - I joined just to see if I could win (and if I did, then yay! motivator!) the prizes don't matter :3 Wow, a chibi? omgosh that would be nifty

I contacted the group administrators with the given matter at hand, and they agree that it is unfair. They said that they'll be banning such things from happening the next time they hold a contest, amongst enforcing other new rules

Ah, it's a beautiful picture. The colours blend very nicely and give an ethereal feel to it. Nice work. I feel that the wings could be enlarged to somehow balance the image....but I'm absolute rubbish artist so I don't think it's that much of a problem
Other than that, a wonderful picture! I hope that it wins the competition <3
