really reall amazing piece. Alot of volume and weight and movement are communicated very well. There seems nothing artificial about this...it seems very honest, although it is clearly slightly abstracted, no?
I love the contrapposto! done so well, but not just simply imitating humanist masters. well done.

if you look at the other views you will find that the "waste"-reference gets milder
this view is some kind of overemphasizing that
a friend of mine connected the bronze with a feeling of hurt

and look at "miniature 1" in my gallery
i made "miniature 1" from some keramic stuff and gave it to a professional mold maker who cast the whole thing in bronze
i think i should have done a pic with all views together
that would have avoided a lot of poopooing around lol
maybe i can do a rotating gif..........ok, i have work to do....

These are really nice..I am currently working on a series of distorted torsos made out of clay to enter in a show
They just caught my eye because the style is very similar to what I am working on.
