Sandskipper…the “little sister” to all the Autobots. She’s probably hyper and really annoying but somehow manages to be an asset to the goody-bots… Or something like that. Anyway, she turns into a Dune-buggy and her name was originally going to be “Sandy Dunes” but that sounded like a stripper name or something. Maybe she goes by that name when she’s working the street corner or something, hehe.
So yeah, I finally broke down and did it. My iron will finally bent under Assey’s constant pestering to “draw a Transformer.” I HATE drawing things that aren’t “flesh and blood” though, and I’m not really a fan of Transformers, but Assey somehow convinced me to TRY and draw one. I wasn’t going to draw one of the preexisting characters though. Noooo, I had to go and make life harder by making my “own” Transformer. Boy do I regret that though…
It’s pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to make an “original” or “unique” Transformer. The fan base is sooooo huge and long-lived that everything has been done and redone again and again. It’s insane!However, with the “expert” assistance of ~AsswhompSupreme we managed to design a truly transformable female Transformer. A lot of people tend to draw fembots without taking the transformation process in mind. They just look like robotic females or something. But Assey explained/showed me how to draw her so that she could transform and he’s solely responsible for figuring out how to make her turn into a vehicle. He also helped me decide what colors to use. All that considered, I think this qualifies as a collaboration. My first one too (I think), hehe. I wanted him to post it in his gallery (because all his watchers are TF fans) but he be’d an ass and refused to…so bleh. It’s going to sit here and my watchers are going to stare it and wonder what the hell I’m thinking… Ah well…

Hehe, fraid not chief. I'm one of the (sometimes i think rare) TF fans that happens to think that fembots and "sexes" in general in the Transformer universe are one of the most ludicrous concepts on the face of the earth...or Cybertron for that matter, heh. They're robots for gods sake!
Anyways, this was halfway done as a parody. DD wanted to make the most blatently, cheesy, stereotypical female TF she could think of, and we think she did a pretty good job of it, heh. It made it slightly easier for her to draw for a first attempt, since it had a small, rounder frame. While I may not agree with the concept of fembots (I think DD's in the same boat as me too. We think there could be feminine and masculine robots, but that would only be to OUR human senses, and have absolutly no effect to the TF's themselves. If that makes any sense.) It didn't stop her from making one, or me from helping her, heh.

It think that's awesome! Trying to design something as an orginal *____* (fill in the blank) and make it "follow the rules" so to speak is a testament to your skill! Looks great, even though I am not a transformer fan either!

Apparently there is a big debate among the TF fans of rather there are actually "genders" among the Transformers. Sure some look male and some look female, but who knows if they truly have different genders...or sex for that matter (I'm thinking NO, but there are some who are adamant that they do. 
And her "boobs" actually flip up and become "bug eyed" headlights when she turns into a Dune Buggy. What you're seeing here are the backsides of the headlight housing. They obviously don't serve any perpose for her in her robot mode, it was just something to distinguish her as a "female."

Sweet mother of crap! I just read about this in Assey's journal and was coming over to pester and annoy the living daylights outta you until you posted it, but... Man! This is AWESOME! 
BTW, Assey mentionned you had gotten around to making a couple that looked pretty good. Any chance we'll be seeing those anytime soon...? Hmmm?

Actually...well, all that "dissing" I was doing about people drawing fembots that didn't really look like they could transform...well, my first drawing fits into that category perfectly, hehe. Assey says I should call her an "Action Master" and I could get away with the design then. But I went a little crazy with the details until she didn't really look anything like a Transformer anymore. She just looks like a robo-chick, and she hasn't been inked or nothing...also I wasn't happy with how the pose worked out so I doubt I'd post it. I'd have to draw her all over again before I did that, hehe. The other drawing was just a set of head designs and an arm design, none of which made it into the final draft for either drawing.
And I dunno if I'll get the vehicle mode drawn or not, hehe. I think I hate drawing cars/trucks and the like even more than I hate drawing robots, hehe. I do have a crappy little pencil sketch I did, to try and understand what she would look like. But it wasn't meant to be shown or nothing, it was for my own reference (and thus I put NO effort into it and it sucks). She actually looks like a Lotus and a dune buggy combined...if that makes any sense. I dunno, maybe SOMEDAY I'll do something so people will understand what her vehicle mode looks like...

Anyways, as for the rest. Well, at least you actually tried to make a robotic character and that's good enough for me. If and when you feel up to it, I say take a poke at it to see what comes out. If it's halfway decent (by your standards) then by all means post it. If not, well at least you tried again. And that's a-OK with me.

And quite awesome for your first one. You put more detail into her than I do into mine most of the time.
