A little scene from my Balto 4 fanfic of Nunivat sleeping.Unlike her siblings, Nunivat mostly prefers to sleep on her back. She also says she likes to "air out her stomach" when someone asks her that sometimes.

By the way, did you notice Thunderbolt's eye color: Amber right eye, red left eye?

Well, both of Thunderbolt's eyes were amber, but after getting clawed in left eye while protecting Nunivat from a bear, the iris changed to red from the blood. Thunderbolt can still see with both eyes though.

Yep, Lightning has a red eyepatch to match his fathers red eye.
Yep, even though it may be scary how he got the red eye, he still risked himself to save Nunivat.

Not to mention when Nunivat found about Thunderbolt's red eye, she flipped out (Nunivat gets scared easily by seeing strange/unnatural things in person) and was frightened by it. She got used to seeing Thunderbolt's red eye later on as she still loved him.
