Thanks! ha ha. Inspired by Erik's chair from the '04 movie, actually... I have no clue how it ended up in Daroga's home, though...

HolyMaiden In reply to DarthxErik [2009-10-30 01:18:44 +0000 UTC]

.... I dont recall any chair with a heart on it from the movie. Then again, I miss alot of important details when I usually watch a movie- especially the ones others notice. ( a tassle hitting christne's head during tmotn, the missing stockings, incident, shadow of the camera etc.) though I recall one of the chorus members behind Mme. Giry in the Hannibal rehersal scene looking like Dr. Frankenfurter from Rocky Horror

The heart chair is in Erik's lair... you can see it when Erik sings "I have brought you, to the seat of sweet music's throne...", I think.

HOW ON EARTH did I not comment on this the first time?
This is absolutely adorable.
And I need to tell you, that I started reading the book just yesterday, but I am so scared of the ending. I'm afraid I might get a depression afterwards. ._.

thank you! ^_^ Oh don't worry... It's very good and sad, but you won't get depression (unless you're ultra easily depressed...)

If you're still scared about reading it, just wait till I have the rest of the comic up! It'll be so much easier to read. jk.

You're welcome.
Ah.. well, I get depressed over weird things pretty easily especially books. XD

How long would that take you? jk. Although I am a bit scared of the ending, I think I'll probably finish it soon, or I'll never finish it. XD

...and his mommy will pass around flyers going "Have You Seen This Boy?" and on it, there'll be a picture of him painted when he was a wee young lad in a sailor suit... I guess Raoul lent it to him when they were young. (I loved that picture. Really, Raoul's hairstyle didn't change at all.)

DarthxErik In reply to SiameseCatLover [2009-04-16 02:15:27 +0000 UTC]

that he was. It's like-- you can't blame him either for falling in love with Christine... especially at a young age. ^_^

SiameseCatLover In reply to DarthxErik [2009-04-16 22:16:46 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, I mean, Emmy Rossum Christine wasn't that cute as a little girl. It was Teri Polo's Christine who was the really cute one, in my opinion.

DarthxErik In reply to SiameseCatLover [2009-04-17 16:37:56 +0000 UTC]

right on! right on.

And isn't it weird that in the charles dance series they seem to hint that perhaps Erik and Christine could've met as children? Or at least there's room for fanfiction... ha ha.

It's the part where Christine says that she came to the Opera House as a child. Well-- Erik lived in the Opera House all his life, so he must've seen her and stuff. Maybe even heard her sing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SiameseCatLover In reply to DarthxErik [2009-04-18 18:17:00 +0000 UTC]

Where does it hint that? I never caught anything like that, but maybe I'm just slow. W-W-W-Wait!!! When does it say she came to the Opera House as a child?!?!!??! AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought she came to the de Chagny estate, not the opera house... O.O
HEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to SiameseCatLover [2009-04-19 20:18:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh, it definitely says all that. Like I said, perhaps it wasn't implied that they *met* but they probably passed by each other by a stroke of fate.

This is absolutely wonderful! I love the Leroux book, and I want to read it again (even though I've read it 3 times already.) How long did this take you? it seems like a lot of effort was put into it.
Can't wait to see more if you decide to do more.

DarthxErik In reply to ThisIsMarzy [2009-04-10 22:35:55 +0000 UTC]

Actually, I drew this a while ago... but I just re-submitted it because I changed it into "comic" format. ^_^ Yes, It took a while... (mostly because I had to design Daroga's living area and split the scene into so many squares!) but I *had* to do it. I had just finished reading the last few chapters for around the 5th time and I couldn't stop thinking of how It would go with my cartoons acting it all out. I *had* to get my ideas down on paper or else I'd lose it.

I just put up the second page.

In the book he is described as wearing an astrazen cap (not a fez)... and it could've been fuzzy. ^_^

Thank you.
