Ha! I remember seeing a scale model of this aircraft (with the rear gun attached) at a fly-in breakfast I went to. This is great! Nice find!

Beautiful close up study! You always do these shots so well and this is no exception.

Thanks, it is one of my favourite styles of composition for aircraft, not to everyones taste but I enjoy doing them! Was really inspired by a book I got on the 'Red Arrows' By Richard Baxter. He did some get close ups of the Hawk, cockpit, wing details etc.

Been meaning to reply to your message, so sorry to hear about your lens issues, sounds expensive! I would never have guesssed you were having problems; there have been some exceptional shots this season! And I mean it! But thinking back not as many shots as usual? Hope you sort them out soon? I upgraded my long tele in May togethher with my SLR, big spend and it was worth the money although I am still paying for it! But it must have been maddening to go to a display and have all those problems, know how you felt, in 2010 I went to 'Legends' on the first day and got the entire display wrong due to misjudging the light! Nothing was right apart from the flightline shots!

Hope you sort it soon!

Dave
