General Stuff - Chimera sui Generis are a carbon-based species from a planet previously known as Nikto meg Telmia, now known as Vilgaxia meg Telmia.

Vilgaxia - Vilgaxia meg Telmia, or simply, Vilgaxia, is an Earth-like planet with a weird orbit around its star, causing seasons to have drastic effects in weather and climate all over the planet.

Origin - The Chimera sui Generis come from a lineage of resilient omnivores from foggy swamp regions in Vilgaxia, using their great height and tentacles to snatch fish, small critters, foliage and fruit from under the water and atop trees

The two main catalysts for the evolution of their sapience were their ability to change the color of their "tubes" and eyes to communicate emotion and other non-verbal messages, as well as their constant predation by smart pack hunters and ambush crocodile-like predators.

Biology - They have long, strong legs that allow them to walk easily through water and mud. The tentacles on their arms have retractable hooked claws that help when capturing prey

Chimera sui generis have a greater tolerance to pain and physical trauma.

In their tubes, chimeras produce and store a cooling fluid that is released when the body begins to overheat. These tubes also produce and store stem cells that are used to regenerate the body when necessary, being even capable of naturally patching up the wounds left by amputaded limbs. However, they cant regenerate limbs on their own still

The tubes in their faces, as well as the irises of their eyes, have chromatophores, allowing these parts to change color for non-verbal communication and communication of emotions.

The tentacles on their heads have a sensory function, being able to touch, taste and perceive changes in humidity and temperature. Thinner tentacles are more sensitive and mobile, and the pattern of tentacles varies from individual to individual.

their circulatory system is highly efficient, clotting quickly when necessary, reconnecting veins after amputations, etc.

Chimera sui generis also have special proteins in their blood that prevent freezing. They can even enter a state of torpor, reducing their metabolism drastically.

The muscles in a chimera's arms are specialized, allowing blood, water, and other liquids to enter to cause hydraulic pressure, hardening and enlarging the arms. This characteristic was mainly used for territorial fights between chimeras.

Females have a "beauty mark" somewhere on their facial tentacles.
