Description
The face is based on a real-life model. At some point, it felt natural for me to add an imaginary book with falling pages.
The drawing paper is yellowish.

I had a discussion with VDLab (www.deviantart.com/vdlab ) about life models for photography and drawing and I realized I never tried drawing a real-life model before. Simply because it seemed to be very difficult. So I finally felt like trying after years and years (my child self is starring me down atm lol).
The drawing style is a bit different as I felt like trying something else, therefore, I used graphite this time which I haven't used in years.

This was one of the hardest and most frustrating drawings for me because of the nature of drawing it that I made for myself (yes, I deserved what I got). I had to erase and adjust majority of the face at a very late stage which was a real risk but had to be done.

Tools: Done mainly with F and B9 graphite pencils • PITT pure graphite pencil stick for shading • Q-tips and a blending stump • 0.8 white gelly roll pen for eye tear thing • 0.7 mm HB pencil for the preliminary sketch.
Drawn on Strathmore smooth paper (22.9x30.5cm; 80 lb.)
