Description
A huge self-proclaimed number 1 Ben Tennyson fan who managed to figure out his identity by piecing together the alien sightings from Bellwood. He had been running a blog that covered said extraterrestrial evidences since he was 5. He was also adept in technology both on and off Planet Earth thanks to his parents' familiarity with the "unique species" living remotely throughout the world. He was also the one who exposed Ben's identity as the heroic aliens, even having a secret source that documented the "War of the Worlds" against the Highbreed which led him to this decision. Albeit Kevin's dismay, Ben and his friends eventually deemed Jimmy as a reliable source of information and let him do as he pleases. This inadvertently made the titular Omnitrix hero famous and soon conscripted as the Earth Force's commander against the Fusion threat.

Jimmy was also a survivor of the Fusion Island Incident, in which he was having a field trip gone awry. All of his classmates were kidnapped and being experimented on by the Fusions, all the while he was running away from the prowling Fusions alone. That is until he met a fellow survivor Douglas Mordecai, who was merged with a mysterious entity called Gridman Sigma to heal his fatal wounds, and a Kids Next Door Operative Number 86, who had been investigating the island before his arrival and lost her squad. The four managed to survive the Fusions as Jimmy also learned how to strengthen his resolve and to defeat the Fusions, knowing that it would be a threat they could never run away from.

After the incident, they decided to part ways; Douglas went to the Hyper World with Sigma, 86 went to prepare for the inevitable invasion of Planet Fusion, and Jimmy, while a bit overwhelmed at first, encouraged by his friends to do whatever he could do at the moment, which was to finish his education so that he could enlist himself as Earth Force's colorful armies after knowing that they are recruiting teenagers. He would soon join the Earth Force and help out the Earth's champions to repel the invasion, including his idol Ben Tennyson and Douglas who had already been trained into a Hyper Agent.

Fate would soon bring him towards a dying Galvan Mechamorph, who was carrying a powerful relic called Potis Altiare. The relic was the result of a Galvan experiment with Fusion Matter in order to seek out alternatives to defeat Planet Fusion. The Mechamorph was said to be the volunteer to use the relic and bear its powerful energy, thus the reason why his body turned into purple and black as opposed to a normal Mechamorph's green and black. However, on his way towards Earth, his ship sustained a damage while passing through Planet Fusion and was infested by Fusion creatures, as well. He had lost his crewmates and sustained a wound as well. In a last ditch effort, he fired up the ship's jumpdrive once more to reach Earth in hopes of bringing the relic into a much more capable wielder on Earth and to take the boarding Fusions down with him.

The Mechamorph succeeded in reaching Earth, but there were still some Fusions left that survived the crash, including the most powerful ones. As Jimmy reached out to him, the Mechamorph decided to merge with the relic, turning into the Omni Accepter and give Jimmy a full control of its powers. Jimmy soon performed the "Access Flash" gesture with his own style, and created an armor of his own based off of Gridman Sigma and Gridman Spark. Referring to the Omnitrix, he soon named himself as Gridmatrix and defeated the surviving Fusions. He would soon join Gridman Spark as the Hyper Agent duo and continued their fight against Lord Fuse's machinations.
