Description One for as this is my favourite of all the S160s. No.5820 lives over the Pennines on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Returned 2 years ago after a huge overhaul, the engine now flies the flag for America, representing his class in a resplendent livery of Wartime Grey. I saw Big Jim double head with his shed mate, another Wartime veteran, the WD Riddles 2-8-0. Unfortunately, my camera broke, but Big Jim on his own is better than any.

One of my favorite american built locomotive. A true war vetern this engine was. I wander if someone could create a story about Rosie meeting Big Jim since they both wore liveries that looked liberating and not related to BR or the WD.

Well i think that would be an interesting and easy story to write. I think the real task would be writing about what Big Jim got up to in Europe/Middle East and how he was saved by the KWVR.

Do you like American locomotives as well as British locomotives?

Will you make that into a special episode? Or will you save that idea later for a future volume like Engines of Valor?

Maybe for another volume, but that's a long way off I think at the moment.

I understand. Let me guess, working on a new Jimmy the Jinty episode, or different?

Doing a bit of both at the moment, JTJS and writing RWS volumes too. Keeping myself busy.

Ah. It's a good thing to escape from boredom. I too have been busy on requests here for other fellow deviants. Mostly their original characters.

I've seen them, they are very impressive and ones to admire time and time again.

That grey livery certainly looks good on him.

I agree. He stands out from the rest and he looks so smart too.

Being different is always a good thing in my opinion, when it comes to locomotives at least.

He definitely is different! Big Jim was painted BR black before this. A what might have been livery, if he had been kept on, instead of being sent to Europe. He was renumbered 95820 with a BR lion. No one had done that before

BR Black would look great on him! It certainly would've been cool to see in the BR days of steam.
