Description A few months back in October, the Flying Scotsman returned to the East Lancashire Railway to an even big reception. Once again people from miles around came to see her. She put on a fine performance. This has to be one of my best and favourite photographs of 2016. Here, Flying Scotsman races through Irwell Vale nonstop to Rawtenstall.

I really like this shot. The rolling hills and cloudy skies really add emotion to the picture. Not to mention, Scotsman's paint looks really shiny. Another fabulous photo!
