The little Jinty that inspired it all. Taken a couple of years ago on my home line, the East Lancashire Railway. This is the exact spot where I thought I'd give writing a go...and I haven't stopped since.Related content

Look at him, just trundling up and down the line, making sure that the tourists have a good time, and a good ride. It just shows that he's still eager to prove his worth, even after he was saved from the scrapper's torch.

This engine has been the unsung hero of the railway in the past. When all the bigger steam engines failed, this one just kept on going
