love both the flow and coloring of the transition here.Β  Interesting to think about going from a vertebrate structure to a cephalopod.Β  Not sure how that works, but it looks great here.Β

Yes, I imagine the there would be a hip bone of some kind for all the muscles of the tentacles to grab onto, but when you are doing this kind of art, visual appearance is everything. Β So it came down to making sure the top part of the octopus doubled as a skirt for the woman's lower half.
